Solo and ensemble festivals are held each January in Colorado Springs to provide band, choir, drama and strings students the opportunity to perform and have their performance critiqued by an adjudicator.

The due dates for this year's festival are:

Student entry forms	see your director for date
Director online entries	December 16, 2011
Accompanist online entries	December 16, 2011
District 49 festival	January 21, 2012

The process is as follows:

• Obtain entry forms from your music director (one form for each performance).
• Return completed entry forms to your director along with the required entry fee.
• Your director will enter the forms online and submit the combined entry fee for your school to the host director for the festival.
• Contact your accompanist and ask him/her to register and enter their list of students online.
• The schedule for your performances will be available on this website shortly after the entry process is completed.

The ratings for performances will be available from your director either at the festival or after the festival is completed.
